West Pokot Hosts Kenya Dairy Board Exhibition to Boost Dairy Farming
Deputy Governor Robert Komolle officiated the Kenya Dairy Board (KDB) Exhibition at Kapsait Primary School, a platform dedicated to strengthening the dairy sector in West Pokot. The event brought together farmers, industry experts, and stakeholders to exchange ideas and showcase innovations aimed at enhancing dairy farming.

The exhibition enhanced the importance of collaboration between the county government, national government, and industry partners in advancing the dairy industry. The County Government of West Pokot remains committed to supporting dairy farmers by improving infrastructure, providing training, and implementing policies that promote a thriving and sustainable dairy sector.

Key discussions focused on challenges affecting dairy farmers and opportunities to increase milk production, enhance value addition, and improve market access. With the right support systems, West Pokot’s dairy farmers have the potential to scale up production and drive economic growth in the region.

The event was graced by KDB CEO Margaret Kibogy, KDB Director Kenneth Lomaibong, KDB Chairman Genesio Mugo, and senior county officials, all reaffirming their commitment to the sector’s growth and sustainability.
