West Pokot Gender policy meeting

Men End FGM Foundation in collaboration with Youth For Change (Y4C) Advocates and DSW, convened a meeting at Kalya hotel with representatives from the department of Gender, Youth, Social Services, and Special Programs.

Chaired by the Chief Officer of Culture ,Gender, Youth, Social Services, and Special services Paul Lalat alongside Director of Gender for the national government, Emmanuel Oigo, the focus was on the comprehensive gender policy.

The agenda delved into key issues and policy actions across diverse departments such as health, education, ICT, and media among others.

Peter Kemei, Program and Operations Coordinator of MEN End FGM, commended the county leadership and youth for actively advocating for the gender policy.

The meeting marked a significant step in fostering collaboration for positive change.
