West Pokot Deputy Governor Hosts Ripple Effect Kenya Delegation to Boost Agriculture and Gender Equity

West Pokot Deputy Governor H.E. Robert Achaule Komolle hosted a delegation from Ripple Effect Kenya, led by the organization's Country Director, Titus Sagala.

The visit centered on fostering collaboration in key areas that are crucial to the county’s development, including gender equity, agricultural advancement, and community enterprise growth.

Key Areas of Collaboration including:
 Gender Policy Implementation;
Addressing gender disparities was a focal point of the discussions. The delegation highlighted the importance of promoting equity and inclusivity in West Pokot County to ensure that all residents benefit from ongoing development initiatives.

Agricultural Development;
The exchange of ideas on modern farming techniques and sustainable practices aimed at increasing agricultural productivity and enhancing food security for local communities.

Enterprise Development;
Strategies to empower communities through entrepreneurship were explored. These efforts seek to equip residents with the tools and knowledge to establish and expand businesses, driving sustainable economic growth and reducing poverty.

H.E. Komolle expressed his appreciation for the delegation's dedication and emphasized the county’s commitment to achieving shared goals. He reiterated the importance of partnerships in tackling food insecurity, promoting gender equality, and uplifting livelihoods across the county.

The meeting was attended by key county officials, including CECs  Paul Woyakapel (health) and Wilfred Longronyang (Agriculture and Livestock) and chief officer Nelly Soprin.
