West Pokot County Peace Building and Conflict Management Bill 2023 and Finance Bill assented into law by Governor Kachapin

Governor Simon Kachapin has assented two bills into law; West Pokot County Peace Building and Conflict Management Bill, and Finance Bill.
The Peace Building and Conflict Management Bill 2023 will provide a legal framework on peace and conflict management strategies along the borders, guide the legal structures while implementing peace activities and partnerships with non state actors.
On the other hand, Finance Bill will facilitate collection of revenue in the County.
The governor commended the county assembly led by Speaker Hon. Fredrick Kaptui for passing these bills in record time and the continued partnership with the county executive.
