West Pokot County Government Resolves Nurses and Midwives' Grievances Through Dialogue

Governor Simon Kachapin  held a productive meeting with officials from the Kenya National Union of Nurses and Midwives (KNUN) – West Pokot Branch at Kapenguria. The discussions centered on addressing grievances raised by the Union in their nationwide strike notice issued on December 23, 2024, which was set to commence on January 13, 2025.

The Union had listed 10 key grievances against both the national and county governments, demanding immediate resolution. During the meeting, the County Government of West Pokot and the Union reached a consensus, resulting in the resolution of all issues.
