Supporting Early Childhood Education: Kachapin Flags Off Learning Materials for ECDE Centers Across West Pokot
Today, Governor Simon Kachapin flagged off essential learning materials specifically for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) centers across all 20 wards in West Pokot County. The materials, including books, crayons, pencils, and other vital supplies, will enhance the learning experience for youngest learners and give them a strong foundation for their education journey.

Accompanied by the CECMs, Chief Officers, MCAs from Alale, Siyoi, and Mangei Wards, the Nominated MCA, and county staff, Governor Kachapin reaffirmed his administration’s full commitment to improving early childhood education. He emphasized that investing in ECDE is a crucial step toward ensuring quality education and lifelong success for children in the county.

“This initiative is about giving our young learners the right tools at the right stage of their development. A solid early education lays the foundation for future academic excellence, and we will continue prioritizing ECDE to ensure every child gets a fair start,” said Governor Kachapin.

The County Government of West Pokot is committed to strengthening the ECDE sector through such initiatives, ensuring that every child, regardless of location, has access to the resources they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
