NCIC Officials Urge Collaborative Action for Peace and Development

Deputy Governor Robert Komolle held deliberations with National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) Rift Valley Regional Head Victor Ijaika Bulemi on peace efforts in North Rift.
The deputy governor stressed the persistence of insecurity along the border areas despite ongoing efforts where he called for concerted efforts to empower local communities in a bid to attain peace in the region.

“Addressing pockets of insecurity will be pivotal to steering these regions in the right track towards progress,” noted the deputy governor.

Mr. Bulemi emphasised the importance of coordinating peace and cohesion initiatives. He advocated for a cohesive effort between governmental bodies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

County Executive Committee member for Public Service Management and ICT Martin Lottee, , highlighted recent legislative progress, citing the governor's assent to the peace bill as a significant step towards sustainable development in the region.
