NATIONAL ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ON ADMINISTRATION AND INTERNAL SECURITY VISITS WEST POKOT TO ASSESS THE SECURITY SITUATION

H.E Governor Simon Kachapin accompanied by his deputy H.E. Achaule Robert Komolle, Deputy Governor received a delegation from the National Assembly Committee on Administration and Internal Security who are in the county in a fact finding tour of the North Rift to assess the security situation in banditry prone Areas.

The Delegation comprised of Hon. Dido Rasso (Saku MP and Committee Vice Chairman), Hon. Caroline Ngelechei ( Elgeyo Marakwet County MP) , Hon. Fred Kapondi ( Mount Elgon), and Hon. Mburu Kahangara ( Lari).

Various strategies were highlighted to ensure security is achieved in our border areas.

The delegation later visited Cheptulel Boys secondary school and Turkwel where the area members of Parliament Hon Samuel Moroto of Kapenguria constituency and Hon. Peter Lochakapong of Pokot Central were present.
