KENYA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SIGNS MILESTONE MOU WITH WEST POKOT COUNTY
The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (KNCCI), West Pokot Chapter has signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU) with the West Pokot County government to boost trade and investment. This
agreement, said Governor Simon Kachapin, aims to enhance the county’s economic
landscape through closer collaboration.
The KNCCI West Pokot Chapter Chair, Benson Ririmpoi, emphasized that the MOU will support county legislation to foster trade and investment, creating an attractive business environment. He noted the significance of this milestone and the potential for increased GDP through business synergy and financing solutions.
County Executive Committee (CEC) member for Trade, Claire Parklea, affirmed the commitment to working closely with the Chamber to enhance access to finance for local businesses.
Consequently, Governor Kachapin has been appointed as the new patron of the chamber.
This partnership aims to drive economic development, create job opportunities, and improve the overall standard of living for West Pokot residents.
