Governor Simon Kachapin's Tour of Development Projects in Pokot South Constituency

Governor Simon Kachapin toured several development projects in Batei Ward, Pokot South Constituency, to assess their current status. His tour included visits to Kerelwa Primary and Secondary Schools, Kerelwa Dispensary, Takar Daystar Primary School, and Sokut Cattle Dip.
In line with his manifesto, Governor Kachapin emphasized the importance of providing every child in the county with free and fair education and access to improved educational facilities, which he considers essential for community development.
During the tour, Governor Kachapin committed to completing the construction of the Kelerwa Secondary School Laboratory and leveling the Kerelwa Primary School playground. He also pledged to address other pending infrastructure projects in the mentioned schools.
Additionally, he inaugurated Sokut Cattle Dip to support local farmers, enhance livestock health, and boost the local economy.
The governor concluded his day by attending a prize-giving ceremony for 54 girls at Koporoch Girls’ Secondary School. The school achieved a mean score of 7.94 in last year’s KCSE examinations, a notable improvement from the previous year's mean of 6.9.
