Governor Simon Kachapin Attends Historic Elevation of Eldoret to City Status

Simon Kachapin joined national leaders and the residents of Uasin Gishu County at the Eldoret Sports Club for the historic conferment ceremony where Eldoret Municipality was officially elevated to city status.

The event was presided over by President William Ruto.With this milestone, Eldoret becomes Kenya's fifth city, a significant step that will drive infrastructural development and economic growth in the North Rift Region.

The ceremony was graced by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, various Cabinet Secretaries, Uasin Gishu County Governor Jonathan Bii, and several other governors and county assembly speakers.
