Governor Kachapin Flags Off West Pokot Team for 11th KICOSCA Games

H.E. Governor Simon Kachapin has officially flagged off the West Pokot County team to participate in the 11th edition of the Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) Games. The event will take place at the Mumias Complex Stadium in Kakamega County.

This year’s games are themed “Building Synergy on Climate Change through Sports and Cultural Activities” and will bring together teams from all 47 counties for a week of thrilling competition and meaningful advocacy.

Speaking during the flag-off, Governor Kachapin expressed confidence in the team’s preparation and encouraged them to not only strive for victory but also use the platform to champion environmental awareness.

The KICOSCA Games serve as a unifying platform for counties to showcase their talent, culture, and commitment to critical issues such as climate change. West Pokot County’s participation underscores its dedication to fostering sportsmanship, cultural diversity, and environmental stewardship.
