Governor Kachapin Champions Road Act Reforms and Boost Housing Sector Partnership

Governor Simon Kachapin participated in a Council of Governors meeting, which brought together the Departmental Committee on Transport, Infrastructure, and Energy. The discussions centered on proposed amendments to the Roads Act and strategies to involve the Ministry of Roads and Parliament to ensure the Road Maintenance Fund aligns with constitutional requirements.

The committee also committed to strengthening collaboration with the State Department of Public Works to enhance the deployment of professionals within the housing sector.

Principal Secretary Joel Arumonyang, representing the national government, pledged to re-establish regional offices and assign experts to work closely with county governments in advancing the sector.
