Enhancing Social Infrastructure for West Pokot and Turkana Communities
H.E. Simon Kachapin participated in a high-level meeting focused on advancing socio-economic infrastructure for the West Pokot and Turkana communities.
This discussion followed the successful completion of the A1 Road from Kainuk to Nadapal, a transformative project enhancing connectivity and economic opportunities in the region.

One of the key highlights for West Pokot County is the construction of Sangak Primary School in Kambi Karaya/Lami Nyeusi. This modern facility boasts 16 classrooms, a dining hall, hostels, water supply, an administration block, and a health center. These amenities are pivotal in improving access to education, health, and other essential social services while fostering social inclusion in the community.

The meeting brought together stakeholders, including Principal Secretary for Roads, Eng. Joseph Mbugua, Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai of Turkana County, KeNHA Director General Eng. Kungu Ndungu, World Bank Representative Susan Owuor, and other partners committed to driving regional development.
