County Hosts Workshop to Develop Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Fund Regulations
The County Executive Committee (CEC) Member for Public Service Management, Devolved Units, Administration, and ICT, Hon. Martin Lottee, officially opened a three-day workshop aimed at developing regulations for the Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Fund. The workshop, held at Eka Hotel in Eldoret, was sponsored and facilitated by USAID Kuza as part of its ongoing support for building resilience and enhancing disaster preparedness in West Pokot County.
In his opening remarks, Hon. Lottee expressed his gratitude to USAID Kuza for their continued support in helping the county develop and institutionalize its DRM Policy. He emphasized the importance of partnerships like this in strengthening the county’s disaster response framework. The workshop is expected to produce key DRM Fund regulations, which will be crucial for the successful implementation of the county’s DRM Policy.
