Cabinet Secretary Beatrice Moe Reviews Key Projects in West Pokot
This morning, Deputy Governor Robert Komolle and County Commissioner Khalif Abdullahi warmly welcomed the Cabinet Secretary for the East African Community, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALS), and Regional Development, Hon. Beatrice Askul Moe, to West Pokot County. The Cabinet Secretary's visit is aimed at reviewing the progress of ongoing projects under the East African Community and ASALS initiatives.
Hon. Moe highlighted the critical need for stronger collaboration between county and national governments to ensure the successful execution of development projects. "It is essential that we work together to achieve the desired development outcomes for the region," she stated.
The visit follows bilateral discussions held the previous day, which focused on cross-border affairs. Both parties reported significant progress on key issues, particularly in regional cooperation and security matters.
Key stakeholders, including representatives from the Presidential Delivery Unit, the Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA), and Sigor MP Peter Lochakapong, were also present. These partners continue to play a pivotal role in advancing development projects aimed at improving infrastructure and enhancing livelihoods across the region.
