Governor Prof. John Lonyang'apuo together with the first lady Dr. Mary Lonyang'apuo hosted a delegation from Cure International Kijabe at the governor’s residence in Kapenguria.

The team accompanied and led by Dr.Everlyne Mbugua -CEO and Mr Livingstone Koech - Programmes Coordinator was in the county for a two day screening and review of people living with disabilities such as those born with bone-related conditions.

The exercise which targeted children who were once identified, will see them undergo life changing corrective surgeries at AIC Cure International Hospital in Kijabe.

The screening which took at Sigor, Pokot Central and another one at Kapenguria Refferal Hospital was set to identify people living with disabilities that can be corrected through surgery.

The program which started in 2020 has transformed a lot of lives with over 200 children benefitting from it.

Prof. John Lonyang'apuo extended his sincere appreciation to Cure International and gave assurance that his government will work closely with them to ensure every child with the a corrective disabilities will not be left out.
