USAID and World Vision Sponsors visited West Pokot County in a mission to audit the score sheet of their program dubbed BLOOM and GGBC (Global Give Back Circle-Girls Vision).

Christie Vilsack who is the senior advisor International Education at USAID and other USAID staff were received by H.E the Deputy Governor Titus Lotee, CEC Education & ICT and CO from the same ministry.
The program’s main task is to incorporate “Rural entrepreneurship into the GGCB as a core competency ‘must have’ for adolescent girls. The program is established to empower and rescue girls from the vulnerable setting of West Pokot County’s traditions that cherished early marriage and FGM.

The Mentors have also visited the county to work with 25-30 girls who have been in the program to create a book for children that will be treasured by children all over Africa.
