26th October, 2016 has been a day like no other for West Pokot County Vocational training institutions (YPs) following the occurrence of three events that were witnessed at Kapenguria Vocational Training Centre Commonly known as Kapenguria Youth Polytechnic.


The three events included a graduation and issuance of KNEC certificates, a prayer day for candidates sitting for this season’s KNEC exams and receiving of equipment from Italy Debt For Development Program.


Education officers from the national government, Education and ICT Officers from the County government and other government officials presided over the event.
Mr. Mulatya who is the County Director for YPs thanked KIDDP for their assistance to Vocational activities and training mentioning that the donated equipment will assist students gain meaningful practical experience through their study courses.   KIDDP also offered scholarships for 150 students in 2016 for various training fields in all the Training Centers.


Mr. Kamtia-the County ICT Director commented the county government for its continued support for the YPs.  He also congratulated the grandaunts and encouraged the other students to work hard.
The event ended with the issuance of certificates and prayers for candidates awaiting KNEC exams.
