Trade has been the main economic activity for the residents of West Pokot County. People would trade livestock for crops within the county and even across other counties with the potential to fulfil their needs. In The KANU Manifesto, trade is one of its core pillars and for this reason, the West Pokot Governor Hon. Prof. John Lonyang’apuo and accompanied by The CECM of Trade Mr. Augustine Monges and his Chief Officer Mr. Alex Lokimoi led a delegation of other Senior Government officials to market opening at Emboasis in Kapenguria Ward.
