Benchmarking is an important continuous process of improving the performance and productivity in an institution.
HE the Governor Prof Lonyangapuo received County Executive Committee members (CECMs) from Nandi County on benchmarking visit in the county.
The exercise entailed the notable and significant construction of 268 ECDE classrooms within 4 months at a cost of Kshs. 500,000 per classroom. The labour-based model has ensured effective use of public resources to develop educational infrastructure that has improved the enrolment and retention rate of pupils in the county.


Some of the visited schools were Mohamed Ghalib and Kitalaposho Primary Schools ECDE centres.
The County Executive Committee Members from Nandi County were Hillary Koech (Transport and Infrastructure), Valentine Chumo (Education and Vocational Training), Dr. Kiplimo Lagat (Agriculture and Cooperative Development), Alfred Lagat (Finance and Economic Planning) among others.


They were shown around by CECM Education Christine Apakoreng and Ag. ECDE Director Geoffrey Kasiwai.
