The County Government of West Pokot has embarked on improving the livelihood and economy of its residents and neighbours. The county is majorly known as a pastoralist county and to advance this, the Governor, Prof Lonyangapuo has embarked on a joint livestock vaccination exercise with Uganda.

This exercise is in the spirit of collaboration and bettering regional integration to stir and boost peace and economic growth along the borders. The Governor on his part emphasized on the need to embrace each other and work together peacefully to progress the economy and save locals from poverty that comes with many challenges.

Various leaders from Kwen District gathered at Chepsukunya, Ng'orna and Lokales in Uganda to support the governor in vaccinating the livestock against Black Quarter and Anthrax diseases. This is geared towards promoting peaceful coexistence between neighbouring communities of Sebei and Pokot communities.

The leaders also encouraged the two communities to embrace education by enrolling their children in school. Present during the exercise was Robert Komole -Suam Ward Member of County Assembly and Geoffrey Lipale- CEC Agriculture and Livestock.
