Following the vetting and approval of the list of chief officers by the County Assembly, they were avowed into office in a colourful event held at the county headquarters in Kapenguria by the West Pokot County Public Service Board Secretary Ms. Caroline Chizupo.
Hon. Prof. JohnLonyangapuo presided over the event which also saw the official inauguration of Dr. Mike P.Parklea as the county secretary.

“The workforce of the county is now full; I expect the county business to be run efficiently. Service delivery is the key issue in my government. People might say that I am pushing them but this is all for their own benefit. I urge the opposition not to criticize us but work with us and keep us in check sincerely” the Governor said.
The occasion was graced by several dignitaries and members of the public.
In his closing remarks, Governor ProfLonyangapuo asked County government employees to be faithful in their duties and not to be derailed byongoing politics in discharging their duties.
