Governor Prof. John Lonyangapuo on Friday held a meeting with Ambassador Noah Gendler-ambassador of the State of Israel to Kenya at the Israeli Embassy.
Israel has for years been partnering and funding projects in Kenya to promote economic growth.
The meeting yielded important outcomes as Amb. Gendler said Israel will aid in providing a Water masterplan which includes mapping, comprehensive survey and solutions to upscale access to water in West Pokot. Water scarcity in West Pokot has been experienced for a long a time and the aid comes at a time when it is needed.
Ambassador Gendler through the Israel government pledged to donate Water filtration machines for Nasal and Lotong'ot water pans and books for the Peace Boarder Schools.
A reliable source of water is crucial in the actualisation of setting up of processing plants. Prof. Lonyangapuo also visited Kevian Kenya Ltd; a fruit processing company as county gears up to the establishment of a mango processing plant and held a fruitful engagement with company's Managing Director Dr. R K Rugendo.
The governor was accompanied by CECs Francis Kitelauyan (Agriculture), Joel Arumonyang (Trade), Chief of Staff Elijah Kapelo, Director Trade William Ntoina and Water Engineer Seminar Ptiso.
