H.E the Governor John Lonyangapuo has opened a three days Induction program for the recently recruited Administrative officers at Kishaunet Showgrounds.
The administrators will be taken through the Terms of service and conditions, code of conduct, values and principles of public service, labor relations, performance management, business etiquette, public finance management (PFM) act, duties and responsibilities of administrators, employee welfare and wellness, procurement procedures, discipline and disciplinary procedure in public service and health and safety at workplace.
Governor Lonyangapuo stressed that training was a critical aspect of preparing the new county staff to deliver effective and efficient service to West Pokot residents.
“I call upon you (administrators) to enhance your leadership skills and prepare to offer effective services” said Prof. Lonyangapuo.
Jackson Yaralima CECM PSM&ICT, appreciated the attendance of the administrators in ensuring that the training started in time. The chief officers Mr. Anupa and Ngoroko seconded him for the same.
Deputy Director HR. Caroline Powen applauded the County Public Service Board for their punctuality in ensuring that the officers are taken through the induction process within the three months of their appointments.
