Today morning His Excellency the Governor flagged off 6000 bags of maize as relief food to the residents stricken by hunger following the ongoing droughts in some parts of the County.
The maize shall be distributed to areas like Alale, Masol, Turkwell among others. This are regions that have been prevalent to droughts and shortage of rainfall.

Governor Kachapin is hopeful that this relief will cushion the most vulnerable including school going children. This food will help keep our children in school” Kachapin said.
The governor also appealed to leaders to desist from politicizing the hunger scenario in the region and drawing unproportioned statements through the media.

The County Government will also partner with the National Government to distribute more food to the affected residents in the long run.
