Governor Prof. John Lonyangapuo is on a working tour across the county where recently he was in Kodich Ward where he officiated the opening of Katopoton Dispensary.

The facility will serve the residents of Katopoton and the neighboring Endough Ward and it adds to 40 the number of newly opened health facilities in the county.
In addition to the opening of the dispensary, the governor also witnessed the graduation ceremony of 60 drivers trained under the Department of Vocational Training. The training of the drivers was done by Mantis Driving School which the County Government of West Pokot through the Department of Education and Technical Training entered into partnership with and it targets training of bodaboda riders at a subsidized fee.

Later, the governor attended a fundraising for 22 SILC groups to support them in the construction of a guest house. SILC continue to transform livelihoods at the grassroots through access to loans and their impressive culture of saving inculcated and entrenched in their members.
