Governor Prof. John Lonyangapuo led hundreds of county residents in marking his administration’s third year in office by unveiling a scorecard for Financial Year 2019/2020. In a ceremony held at Lomut Primary School in Lomut war, the governor Said that his administration has focused and continues to focus in modern farming activities as a preventive measure to stop cattle rustling and ultimately change the narrative of the county.

“We have made big strides in implementing the pillars of my manifesto namely Education, Economy and Equity and health. And we shall continue to do so,” said the governor.

In matters health, the operationalization of the Renal Unit at Kapenguria County Hospital marked an end to long journeys in search of the vital service.

The Kshs. 400 million Bursary Kitty for all students in secondary schools, tertiary institutions and universities, has greatly boosted the administration’s quest to access education. Through the kitty, the county has seen increased enrolment, transition and retention rates across the county.

Earlier on, Governor Lonyangapuo presented cheques for infrastructure development to Chesta TTC and Kapatet, Lomut, Tulung'wo and Parkino primary schools. Others are Masol Mixed, AIC Chesombur and Kazeto Girls.

He reiterated that his government will not tire until all the pledges inscribed in the manifesto are fulfilled.

MPs David Pkosing (Pokot South), Mark Lomunokol (Kacheliba) and Peter Lochakapong (Sigor), MCAs among other County officers were in attendance.
