Israeli Ambassador to Kenya Noah Gal Gendler on Monday paid a courtesy call on Governor Prof. John Lonyangapuo at the county headquarters, during which they discussed a range of issues and possible partnerships.

His visit follows previous meeting at the Israeli embassy in Nairobi and the state of Israel by the county administration led by the governor.
The two discussed among other issues partnership in health, agriculture and water sectors. Governor Prof. Lonyangapuo pointed out that the health sector still faces challenges due to lack of an Intensive Care Unit, which has forced residents to be referred to Eldoret.

He further said that the semi-arid climate, which exists both in West Pokot and Israel, will allow for technological exchange and training in areas of agriculture, health and water.
