Ministry of Public Service Management (PSM) led by Madam Ruth Kisabit and her Chief Officers Betty Chedotum and Isaack Pendow, organized a forum that brought together various stakeholders to discuss matters devolution, themed “The Devolution Experience; Delivering Results for Sustainable, Productive, Effective and Efficient Governments.”
The forum was officially opened by Governor Prof. John Lonyangapuo who said that the platform will be integral in ensuring involvement of the electorate in the implementation of the county agenda.
“This forum offers the best platform of ensuring that our administration is inclusive. We want to build our county together,” he said.
He pointed out that the county administration will remain accountable to its people by making sure that there is no loss of public funds through exaggerated prices. “We shall seal all the loopholes that have led to wastage of public resources. That will be our priority as we develop our county.”
He however said that development has been hampered by lack of funds. But he was quick to point out that despite the cash crunch being experienced by the county; his administration has been steadfast towards its development agenda.
The forum saw CECMs Joel Arumonyang, Luka Chepelion, Augustine Monges and a representative from the ministry of health lead a consultative session with the stakeholders and locals who attended the forum, highlighting major areas of development over the last 7 months.
