Support for small scale irrigation, livelihood resilience, mindset transformation & coordination in west pokot. The Support for Small Scale Irrigation, Livelihood Resilience, Mindset Transformation & Coordination Project in West Pokot seeks to leverage on efforts and harness synergies of the ongoing drought resilience building activities in West Pokot by The Christian Impact Mission (CIM), National Drought Management Authority (NDMA), the National Irrigation Authority (NIA) and the Technical Working Group (TWG) under the West Pokot County Government.
The project is being implemented in Pokot Central Sub County which has four wards; Lomut, Wei Wei, Masol and Sekerr. Besides the support in excavation of household water pans, the project has a strong component of capacity building using the CIM Mindset Change Model that is geared towards helping build the resilience of the community in the face of climate change and associated challenges.
