Poultry farmers drawn from across the county converged at St. Charles Lwanga, Bendera Catholic Church to attend a poultry farming training.
The training conducted by ultravetis East Africa Company limited in collaboration with the county department of Agriculture and Livestock targeted farmers from all walks of life to promote poultry farming in the county.
Led by Mr. Benjamin Totona and Charles Kizito from Ultravetis, the farmers who attended were trained on poultry farming economic, health and other benefits, poultry housing, brooding, types of feeds and feeding and disease and disease control.
Ultravetis being a company that supplies farmers with veterinary animal health, hygiene products services, seeds, and agrochemicals, they are placed at a vital position in ensuring the farmers use the correct input to achieve a maximum output in all spheres.
Present during the training was Evelyn Koskei-County Director for Agriculture and Irrigation, Leonard Kitelauyan- livestock officer incharge of West Pokot sub county West Pokot, William Odhiambo-Poultry officer among other officers.
